No, we need more people with firearms knowledge to help people understand them and the process of buying them. So, not insulting at all. I’d definitely trade my state’s laws for yours, though.

I could add my admittedly limited knowledge of particle physics and we could create a man-portable laser gun! (I wish, unfortunately, even the best capacitors don’t carry the amount of energy we’d need.)

I mean, there are very circumstantial situations where a civilian could own a automatic firearm past 1986, but they are far and few between.

Sorry, I work with firearms on a near daily basis, so I tend to be sure everyone is educated with correct information. Let me know if I come off insulting at all!

Ah. California. I’m from Nebraska myself.

Due to the NFA, any automatic firearm made past 1986 (unless a dealer stamp model which is not for civilian ownership) are completely illegal for civilian possession whatsoever. Any model before hand, all you need is to find an FFL with a class 3 permit from the ATF, or a private transfer if your state so allows.

Is that only for automatics produced before a specific year? I’m from California, so I haven’t had the chance to really get in depth with that yet. You can’t buy suppressors, silencers, or even flash hiders here.

Not exactly. Class 3 is the allowance to transfer those weapons. You don’t need a class 3 to OWN any of those. You need them to produce or sell them as an FFL.

A Class 3 Firearms License is what allows a civilian to legally purchase specific gun types including but not limited to, SBRs, Grenade Launchers, and fully automatic machine guns. Fill that out, and every pony can have a battle saddle, lol.

Well, as mentioned in the description of every piece of art I’ve uploaded since two months ago: “Notice: To me “intellectual property” is an unjustly authoritative law created by self-centered businessmen for the purpose of gaining wealth and preventing the “filthy peasants” from touching their creations, the art I create is meant for everyone, not just myself, thus feel free to use my work however you see fit.”

Thus, I went on a crusade through my house, finding every scrap of flammable material that had a legal notice or copyright symbol and burned it. Hopefully one day I can move on to banks and places that store legal information like patents.
