An old enemy is returning to power to threaten Equestria once again. Now the fate of these lands fall upon the new fusions/alicorns to lead the nation and vitually the world against this darkness. How will the new royalty tackle these impending problems and threats while maintaining peace over their dominions.

The basic premise of this series is that the commissioner believes Equestrians, including the princesses, are too weak to stand up to a real villain (unlike the villains we’ve seen in the show who are apparently completely incompetent and basically jokes) and so he’s having them all fused like this to give them the strength to defend Equestria against a true threat. I don’t really agree with that premise personally, but I like following this series because all of the fusions are adorable and I love seeing them.

I did not mean to offend. Just wanted a clearer explanation of what was meant.
But still, Alicorns are already immortal enough already, fusing in order to live longer seems ill advised. Cuz if Galaxia is killed, she will be taking four princesses down with her.
Then who is left to rule and raise the moon and sun?
If a clever villain wanted to conquer the nation, all it would take is one good shot with an arrow, or a well placed poisoned wine glass, or a sabotaged chariot. Then that would be killing four alicorns with one swift stroke.
Do you see what I mean?
Hey, you could try and be a bit more understanding that not everyone’s English isn’t perfect. No need to be sarcastic about it. What I think they mean to say is: “Well, becoming an alicorn means you’ll live longer than other ponies but you can still be killed. This is why Celestia does everything she can to survive and that’s why she fused with Luna, Cadance and Twilight so all four of them would live even longer. So as long as Galaxia aren’t killed, Celestia, Luna, Cadance and Twilight will live on.”
