If Scootaloo is supposed to be “older” then why are her wings still so small?
I’m going to call this foalcon, just on that right there, unless the artist cares to explain the stunted growth of the most important feature of a Pegasus.
@Trick Question
She looks very much an adult in this image. The “older” tag is for ponies who are foals in the show, but are drawn as an adult in an image, which is what this would count as.
If I draw a picture of Flurry Heart babycon gore and post it here, it doesn’t matter what I say I drew. I can’t tag it “safe” and “Braeburn” regardless as to what I intended to draw or what I personally think it looks like if my view is wildly different from the average user. Tags aren’t there for artists to make a statement about their work.
That said, I guess there’s room for doubt in ponies’ minds about this one. But ponies searching for foalcon would almost certainly like to see this image, and I suspect some ponies who block foalcon would be upset at it not being blocked.
@TricksterWolf
I’m relatively certain the artist has a say in what their piece is.
And it really looks like there was no foalcon intended in this, Its just slight foreshortening of the torso. The eyes aren’t even shaped liked a filly’s.
@Background Pony #368F
This looks like foalcon to me too. Tagging shouldn’t turn on what the artist says, what ponies want to search for or block are the images.
@Damaged
But think of it this way.
If you look at the artist’s gallery, all the ponies proportions are about the same as here. And not only that, if this was say, Rainbow Dash, then chances are we wouldn’t even be debating this. So many Dash pics could be called foalcon if they just changed her to Scootaloo. A lot of it is just perception.
ooh, sexy scoots! it doesn’t matter if her daisy dukes are too small; from what i can see she would’ve had to throw ’em out anyways. also, the lighting effects in this picture are absolutely fantastic.
Still, I can see why lots of peeps think this isn’t really convincingly aged up.
namely that this artist tends to make the wings small on all their pegasi: https://derpibooru.org/1446788?q=artist%3Ajune34rd
Because she’s a cripple?
Either way, she looks like a foal to me. I have no idea how other ponies see her as ‘clearly adult’ in this image. The body proportions are all foal.

Edited because: Wrong quote command.
It’s not a problem. I’m pretty sure ponies looking for foalcon would be interested in this image, but maybe I’m wrong.
It is okay to disagree on things, especially subjective ones! :twilightsmile:

The purpose of tags is twofold:

Because her body-shape is still that of a foal: her torso is short and she still has the shorter limbs of a foal.
That tag is the only way to filter this kind of stuff out, without making a monster filter of every foal in the show’s name && explicit.
Want help? :P
Yeah, the artist tagged “crotchless” in source.
“Older Scoots, I’m estimating around 19-20ish. Finding despite her brash personality, she has an embarrassing bedroom appreciation for frilly things.”
