Oh, was that what we were supposed to do? We just read it to her in-character as bedtime stories. My bad.

(The only time the IDW comics actually did make her scared to continue, she was closer to the “5” end of that range, and it was my fault – I pulled out an apparently nightmarish voice for Rabia’s reveal in Seige Siege of the Crystal Empire, and we found we couldn’t continue unless I toned it down.)

We didn’t stop reading the IDW comics until some time in 2021 when we were going through the first volume of Season 10, and she just wasn’t interested enough after the first three issues to bother finishing the arc.

My last ever 10 cents on the Cosmos Arc:

I do not know why the people who created the MLP IDW series, would be capable of creating a jarring, dysfunctional, extreme, iconic & ghastly abomination of a character called Cosmos in the recent history of the comic run. Those writers should thank their lucky stars that the young & impressionable (age 5-10) children didn’t read or seen this stuff, because those armies of angry e-mails, phone calls, potential lawsuits from parents would sink the MLP IDW ship.

Lasty, let’s go back to the in-world post Cosmos Arc Equestria, why is Cosmos is on the Moon? She should deader than dead, and all of her magic should be gone to the winds time & space. Now what about the sad victims of her fucked up escapades, Big Mac, Twilight, Celestia, Luna, Zacora will have PTSD worse than all WW2, Vietnam, Iraq War veterans put together because they were possessed then later fused to create the abomination for extended amount of time. The princesses would be in a hurricane of fierce emotions, and as for Big Mac, it wouldn’t surprise anyone that he committed suicide to stop the nightmares….

Very fascinating information

This is rather very disturbing to think Cosmos takes possession of Twilight and others of her vessel, in fact her hostility actions are extremely dangerous and severe since Angra Mainyu. Who’s Angra Mainyu you ask? According in the Persian mythology from Ahriman, his name is the Avestan language name of Zoroastrianism. Destructive and Evil Spirit. He is the twin brother of Spenta Mainyu, the Holy Spirit, and both were the sons of Ahura Mazdā (Ormizd or Ormazd), the Wise Lord and supreme deity of Zoroastrianism.

Despite of all evil that associates to Angra Mainyu, since malice is one of them. Cosmos is a lot dangerous than Angra Mainyu in her recent attempts to kill Discord and everything not only Equestria, but the entire universe.

Speaking of that banish spell, if the sisters did that then they’ll need some planning since it depends on how far the banishing spell would keep him from being in Equestria.  
Along with he can do his chaos stuff just fine as a ghost, so they need something to bind his spirit/ghost to keep him from causing trouble if they go that route.

Kind of hated thats the purpose Luna(and Celestia) got stuck with..
 
Anyway, I feel like Ending of the End did not do Luna(might has well mention Celestia too) enough justice honestly.  
And wished Chrysalis at least did not suffer a horrible fate..  
She’s a good villain but I rather see her reform(and make it work) than seeing her end up as a statue.

The purpose of the princess is be humillated like a excuse to make the protagonist act.
 
And… if i must choose between Cosmos’ arc and Ending of the end… Cosmos’ arc is better.
 
Because at least Cosmos’ arc can be easily retconed to put Discord more like the villain we know in season 2 just with hear Cosmos’ version of the story and at least IDW gives a crap to to give depth to the character and even a background story and not leave it in the abyss just to leave it as a jester from which nothing can be explored because “he is too powerful”
 
The Cosmos arc if it did not have a terrible rhythm, could be an interesting story that explores the humanity of the character and questions if it can really be redeemed because no matter what he does everything will disappear except him, remaining alone if he has no relationship with Cosmos.
 
Meanwhile Ending of the end, is the most forced thing of all, just a kind of dejavu to Twilight Kingdom only with a waifu villain who should have already been redeemed in season 6 and a girl who writers never gave her the importance to give her a motivation as to why she is evil.  
As a concept, it really does not contribute anything and any redemption story would be invalid because that should be applied with its alliance with Tirek.
 
And to disable the search for the elements of harmony to defeat Discord, guess what? “A Matter of principals” did it before with the Starlight scene banishing Discord with a simple spell … why didn’t the sisters do that before? they could take advantage of Discord’s pride to cast such a spell to leave him as a ghost after a rodeo of teasing.

Honestly really didn’t like the bit of Luna getting possessed and absorbed by Cosmos like that.
 
Deep down Luna must have felt really furious(and humiliated) at this.  
And probably opening up old wounds due to she got possessed once before(in the comic continuality that is)  
Doesn’t help that Discord sent Cosmos to the moon without Luna’s consent too.
 
And what Discord pulled in season 9 would probably make her even more pissed.(Doesn’t matter if he had “good intentions”, he pulled that crap behind everyone’s backs).
 
I just.. hate this arc so much. There are other arcs that bothered me but this one really.. is hard to live down.  
Just wished it would be disregarded in the season 10 comics.
 
Sorry if I happen to be making a big deal of this but really.. I am just so bleh inside from reading about this arc.

I can understand why Discord never mention her despiste the “protect everbody” thing, the selfish and human reason of “i don’t want to remind the person who breaks my heart and humillates me” makes sense specially for a creature like Discord.
 
But Luna really must be pissed with him because he never told about his draconequus family with Eris and Cosmos and the posibilities of more draconequus. Seriosly, why Luna never asked him about Eris and Cosmos after being a victim of both?

And also the fact he altered the royal sisters’ memories to make them think he caused the huge mess in the past just to cover up Cosmos.  
That bit there bothered me so freaking much.

Discord has too many secrets and he’s doomed Equestria entirely because of that, he has to be interrogated and locked up because they’ve given him too much freedom to screw everyone he knew over, especially rallying the villains against Twilight.
