Well, Anon is suppose to be a character that the viewer can insert themselves into the story with, so a lot of people make Anons blank slates, but that can often make them boring, and nobody wants to insert themselves into a boring character.

Why is it that Cinder Glow/Summer Flare still has two names? Shouldn’t someone at some point put their foot down and pick one out of the two names?

To be honest, I prefer the superior floofy design of the Kirin that we have now. The male Kirin deserves to be just as floofy as the female Kirin are!  
My gut tells me that if they weren’t pressed for time and tried to give the male Kirin a more boy’ish look to better tell them from the female, they probably wouldn’t be as floofy as their are now.
