I have a confession to make. I haven’t been watching MLP consistantly since “Buckball Season”

After the high S1 gave me, S2 was discouraging…S3 was depressing. The couple of episodes after Twi was princess’d, I just couldn’t take.

Yet here I am, browsing Derpi almost every day, and making sure I nab copies of every episode when they come out, “just in case”.

I watched some of the most important ones since then, though, eg. CMC cutie marks, Spike wings, and any Celestia/Luna episodes.

Same pretty much.

I’m ashamed to admit I fell behind some time in Season 5 and only got caught up to the season finale. By that time Season 6 was starting and before long I was so far behind that watching all the unseen episodes seemed like a monumental task. All I’ve seen since then is the Spike shipfic fuel episode everybody was talking about.

It’s.. for the long weekend. It’s for summer vacation. For christmas break. For the long months of space madness on board the Satellite of Love.
Anyone got a time machine?

Well I feel weird now, because I’ve seen every episode of every season up to the most recent one (not counting early foreign releases), and apparently I’m in a minority on that.

I’ve watched about half of Season 1, a handful of episodes of seasons 2 and 3, and only bits and pieces of anything else.

I’m here because I like the characters, and I take amusement from some of the fan work. Like this.
Tinandel

I’m in the same boat. I feel like at some point, the fandom mostly outgrew the show itself. When Twi created a School of Friendship, that was the tipping point for me. I still love ponies and adore the art and the (older) lore and the characters and all that, but at some point the show just started drifting too much from what I had originally enjoyed.
