Rather the inverse, really, since most distros of Linux are free while Windows 10 is about $100 and Microsoft has plans to make it a subscription license.

Basically, Windows 10 will regularly lock up a perfectly fine computer unless you solve the fucking Eternity Code of which services to disable and what to set to what values to stop it from doing that.
Windows will then update and revert all your changes and make you do it again.
no, I just run linux. I dunno about any of that windows stuff.
I think I got cheated on a cpu that likes to bug out. it’s just a dud chip that didn’t print quite right, so tiny power fluctuations (I guess?) can cause the cores to just, like, freeze. at least I think it’s the cpu. it’s the only part I haven’t tried replacing yet, b/c I haven’t got a spare $500 to burn.
