Bray
 
During Grogar’s rule of the land, he created chaotic creatures using his magic, taking elements of all creatures to create superior beings. This new species was dubbed Draconequus. Each Draconequus was gifted a small amount of Grogar’s power, creating an unstoppable army to defeat anyone who challenged him. Grogar and his creations ran wild, taking over the lands of other creatures, taking everything for themselves.  
Bray was one of the first to be created, Grogar placed him as his right hoofed draconequus. Bray’s job was to pass Grogar’s orders onto the soldiers and make sure Grogar’s wishes were fulfilled.  
When Gusty the great and her unicorn warriors defeated Grogar, Bray and the rest of the Draconequus race were encased in stone and destroyed by the unicorns’ magic so they could never come back.
 
Gusty the Great
 
Gusty was the captain of Unicornia’s royal army. Very skilled in magic and in combat. A brave and adventurous mare, loyal to her king and country.  
When news over Grogar’s reign had spread to Unicornia, many unicorns were worried and preparing for an attack. Grogar’s creatures were said to be more powerful that any other species, including unicorns. King Bullion, leader of the Unicorns called on Gusty for a plan to defeat Grogar and protect Unicornia. Gusty suggested that if the source of Grogar’s power was destroyed then he and his army would be defenceless against the unicorns.  
Bullion ordered Gusty to take her strongest unicorns and take down Grogar.  
Gusty and her Unicorns travelled to Grogar’s fortress sat on the clouds in the sky, Tambelon (later renamed to cloudsdale).  
Before they could reach Tambelon, Grogar and his soldiers ambushed the Unicorn Warriors. The unicorns stood their ground against the chaotic beasts, using their magic and skills. Gusty figured out the source of Grogar’s magic was the bell that hung around his neck. Gusty made her way past the army and faced Grogar head on. Using her special ability to control the wind, she created a huge tornado to trap her and Grogar inside. While Grogar was stunned by her move, she grabbed the bell from Grogar and threw it into a gust of wind, sending it somewhere no one knew where to locate it.  
Now with Grogar’s magic gone, the unicorns were able to combine their magic to banish Grogar into a dormant dimension hopefully keeping him trapped for good.  
Gusty and her army knew what they had to do next. They rounded up he rest of Unicornia’s army and sieged Grogar’s land, using their magic to encase all Grogar’s monsters into stone prisons and then blasted them into pieces.  
Gusty would later on become the mother of Clover the Clever and protect Unicornia until her passing.
 

 
I decided to change Bray’s species from a donkey to a draconequus because it ups the stakes of how powerful Grogar and his monsters were, as we know from Discord that draconequus are not creatures you want to reckon with. I also kept donkey like features in his design, replacing Discord’s goat head to a donkey’s head and adding a donkey hoof for one of his from legs.
 
Gusty the great’s colour pallet and cutie mark is based on the gen 1 pony Gusty. Gusty was a unicorn with the ability to create strong winds with her magic.  
While Gusty as an adult was not featured in Grogar’s Gen 1 episode ‘The Return of Tambelon’, she does appear as a filly in the nursery and is one of the unicorns captured by Grogar.  
I wanted to design these two as I don’t think either will actually appear in the series and this is all just head canon. I was hoping for Bray to be alongside Grogar but Grogar seems to be alone in the premiere.  
This is all just headcanon and the show will probably debunk it, but oh well it’s fun.  
And Discord was able to escape the Unicorn’s siege when he was younger and plotted to take over Equestria in revenge for his people. I think even though Discord could easily defeat Sombra, his magical ability would be no match against Grogar.
 
But anyway I’m excited for the rest of the season and will cry if we get a super long hiatus but it will probably happen so ;w;
