Made sense Ember could do that. Doesn’t make sense for normal strength hippogryff to shatter the earth on landing.

Well, even Spitfire produces a shockwave when superhero-landing from some 10 feet above ground.

True, but then it’s also a dream where she sees herself becoming a Wonderbolt. In that scenario, the idea she would imagine herself a little extra awesome makes sense.
