For all we know, Twilight’s Crystal Friendship Castle is a backup. I mean, it looks like a tree! A crystal one at that! And friendship is happening inside it occasionally, so if that’s not a second Tree of Harmony, if not a “backup site” for the original Tree’s consciousness, I don’t know what it is.
