The changelings have a pretty ambiguous family structure, there hasn’t been any proof just who lays all of those changeling eggs… Or if the changelings have always been changelings, while it’s implied that changelings are a different race than ponies, there’s quiet a few headcanon’s that once you are cacoon’d you start to change into a changeling…

No she doesn’t? It’s pretty obvious Chrysalis is not a typical insect queen caste, on account of if she was, she would never leave the hive. She would be the single most valuable member as the sole source of future changelings, so it would be unacceptable to ever risk her.
Also, she would be constantly hideously pregnant and unable to move (like a queen insect usually is.)
All her Problems have become HIS Problem.
