I was expecting/wanting a King Sauron/Megatron character.
 
I got a Scar/Starscream character.

I just wish they gave him a deep actually intimidating voice like he had at first.

I agree, I find it highly unlikely that Grogar would bother since Sombra already proved how “useless” he was for the team effort.
 
The main thing that Grogar could do that would blow my mind would be to bring in Catrina.
 
Which I doubt will happen despite the species having been brought into the G4 canon.

He probably won’t be brought back, since he broke the deal he made with Grogar. The specifics were that when Sombra failed to take the Crystal Empire, he was to submit to Grogar’s plan. And even though he had a backup plan, it can be argued Sombra still failed when he had to retreat against the elements of harmony. And if that didn’t count as breaking the terms of the deal, then him deciding to rule all Equestria did (Grogar told him he could have the Crystal Empire if he won on his own, not everything else).

At this point, the only thing that would surprise me would be a crossover where they bring in other Hasbro villains.
 
Like Megatron and/or Starscream from Transformers, Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe. Etc. (I, unfortunately, am not that familiar with Gem, so I don’t know if they had villains.)

The elements didn’t kill him in the above situation, that was strictly the power of Twilight and her friends. Similarly, Luna and Celestia did it the first time they faced him and it erased his body, locking him into shadow. This time, likely with much more overall power, Twilight and her friends completely obliterated him, not even leaving his shadow.

Well I don’t think its ever been stated the Elements of Harmony can’t kill a living thing. What they do seems to vary with the situation and the target. On the other hand, one could consider what happened to Sombra to be the same as what happened to the Mean Six. The friendship magic didn’t directly kill him or them, it simply undid the magic that had brought them to life (or in his case back to life).
 
Also, it wasn’t the regular elements of harmony that destroyed him, it was power from the Mane 6 themselves. The rules may be a bit different when no artifacts are involved.

a sad moment in the show that somebody dies. Have the mane 6 really a well sleep now?

That was because he wasn’t able to come back properly on his own, but Grogar was able to fully bring him to full power in the physical world. As a smoke monster he had a one track mind and coudln’t properly think, but now in full flesh he is able to talk and think normally, but with the downside that he has a physical body.

While I want him back, I refuse to see him getting murdered a third time without accomplishing anything.  
It’s like the writers hate him or something.
