Commission for someone on Deviant Art. This is panel 5 of 5 in a post-Equestria-Girls set of scenes. Sunset Shimmer is spending some time with the Humane-5 off-camera, learning from them how to be a friend.
Rarity is partway through the sewing/alteration of a new dress, for which Sunset Shimmer has agreed to be the model. (Rarity plans to surprise Sunset with the dress later on; Sunset thinks it’s being made for someone else).

Maybe someday, and I’d love to do them justice.
Believe me, I understand! Maybe someday someone will be able to make/model my designs, but I know money is tight for us all.
I’m sure other people can. For me, the issue is mainly money. It would likely cost many hundreds of dollars to commission someone to make this dress. Then there’s getting the other clothing. It would be a heck of a investment to model dresses and crossplays. I currently can’t make that investment.
It would be a whole lot of fun, though.

I wish I knew how to translate drawings into viable sewing patterns, because that would be awesome! Anyone who can do something like that is perfectly welcome to go for it!
