the most likely fact is that there will be no development on torque relationships in the series.

Heck, some animals have less time than three years. A fly’s lifespan in a single year and you expect me to believe relationships take at least three years to properly form.

Too little interaction. Both ships have a single episode between them and Hoo’far himself is barely in it. Meanwhile Trixie and Pharynx spend nearly the entirety of the episode near each other as they pester Starlight.

I agree a little conflict is always distracting in a couple.  
Hoo’far and Trixie are not a couple that will be conflict-free far from there.  
that their interaction is completed allows to say that they can support each other without it being an obligatory conflict.
 
What I have a problem with is that there has been too little interaction between pharynx and Trixie.  
she only said what was once and that it was a lost cause.  
It’s not very engaging, for the rest.
 
I would go against the fact that having a child does not always strengthen a couple.  
they have to love each other and have to spend enough time together to get through the ordeals they are facing.  
too many couples make the mistake of having a child to solidify their relationship in perdition.  
of this conflicting relationship it is the children who have the most to lose.

Hoo’far and Trixie are very independent. If anything their relationship would be purely one night stands over and over until they get bored or find someone else. Pharynx is grounded to one place so yes it would start as a one night stand but this is mostly because of Trixie, nearly any ship with her is going to start with one night stands. Heck, one could argue that her friendship with Starlight in the actual canon of the show started practically with the family-friendly equivalent of a one night stand. She became friends with Starlight over a single day out of a selfish desire of fun. Sound like a one night stand to me.
