I always thought Snape was less a spellcaster and more of an alchemist. To be honest I’m not very familiar with the Potterverse beyond what some fans have told me.
I can hear Trixie’s audible whimper with that last sentence from Snape.
Though why a flamethrower? I’m sure there is some spell to the equivialent of fire they have for stuff like this.
