Well, there’s really no indication in the image itself that her attempt at hypnotizing Sunburst is working.
Not in cartoons it doesn’t.
The site’s tag even has a definition of hypnosis

Hypnotism is better because you can’t make someone do something they don’t already want to do, so if they do something terrible while under your trance, you can’t be held accountable. Whereas, with mind control, the one who’s entranced is the who isn’t at fault.
