By “I completely understood that that’s the gist of what you were saying”, I meant that I understood that “I don’t want Chrysalis to be my girlfriend” is more or less the message your first comment was trying to get across.  
The examples are links to pics of TJ’s Chrysalis being nice to her boyfriend/potential boyfriends (and the third example is just split into the parts because it’s three different but still related pictures, whereas the first two are separate pics altogether).  
And by “needlessly convoluted”, I mean that your first comment was unnecessarily complicated (not to mention insulting) for a simple rejection of the queen’s offer.
