If the tree is like Odin, then it’s possible that the mane 6 may end up in the Ascension realm, just to get a lesson from the tree spirit, that the elements are only tools of what they can really do, if it says this line: “are you six the elements of crystals” I would called it, and after some similarities from that scene of Thor 3, they pretty much learned that the power was with them all along.

if Thor:Ragnarok is any guideline to go by it’s that not only are the tree and the elements superfluous but they actually LIMITED and controlled the power of harmony and that the mane 6 will come out of this stronger than ever…
