Considering that family is more than blood, yea, Honey very easily can be Adagio’s daughter, even if not in the literal or legal guardian sense. You’re plain, objectively wrong, and so was Aria.
If someone disrespects you and does so purposely to hurt you? You can choose to either lash out or walk away; Adagio felt disrespected and Aria wasn’t trying to listen. I never said she was right for doing it but Aria was WRONG for being a disrespectful cunt when all Adagio has been trying to do is get her to move on from Sunset Shimmer which she CLEARLY is unable to do on her own and needs help doing. Speaking the truth is fine but that doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful and expect nothing to happen as a result.
Cause I DARE YOU to sit here and tell me that if for example your own sister insulted someone you care about because they are trying to shift blame and guilt onto you that you wouldn’t slap the shit out of them and either start fighting or walk away cause guess what genius? That’s what siblings do. I should know. I have an older sister, I know how these situations can be. Again. Adagio wasn’t right for hitting her but she had a damn good reason. Should she have acted on that the way she did? No. But it’s understandable why she would. How would you feel if your sister said some shit like that too you?

Don’t hit people over words. I’m not going to repeat myself again. As for Aria she spoke the truth and Adagio couldn’t handle it so she lashed out, making her just as immature. Make excuses for her all you want, this is my final word in this conversation.
If a child talks disrespectful to their parent 9/10 unless that parent doesn’t believe in hitting their kid? Will smack the shit out of them. period; do I agree? fuck no but its what happens and TRUST ME I know. Adagio tried to be nice but Aria went for a low blow and so in anger? She slapped her. What is so hard to understand about that? Aria insisted on acting like a disrespectful child and Adagio slapped her one time cause she deserved it.
Christ, I hope you realize you’re basically advocating child abuse. You don’t hit a child just because you don’t like what they say. Same applies with adults - especially since they would be perfectly justified to knock your teeth out in response.
Aria wants to act like a petulant brat just like a mother would their child? She slapped the shit out of her. It’s simple as that. Aria was given every chance to settle this without being self destructive and she decided to do the opposite and Adagio showed she cared multiple times and Aria is all like
“Well maybe I like being cold hearted and a bitch! Fuck you!”
And hell with Adagio having so much pride as a mother and as the appointed leader? Aria is lucky she didn’t punch her in the face cause you do NOT talk to someone who sees themselves as a mother figure that way.
I ever talked to my mom or anyone’s mother that way and you better believe I expect to get the shit slapped out of me. Aria is the one who struck a low blow first and the fact Adagio slapped her didn’t seem to affect her much. In fact it looks like she saw it coming and expected a fight but instead? Adagio walked away.
And yet Adagio is clearly the most mature.

At least Adagio isn’t bordering on trying to kill herself. Aria might be right, but it’s a pretty hollow victory when all Adagio was trying to do was get her to pull out of her tailspin.
And going beyond that, Adagio has been mothering Aria for longer than any of her own children. This shouldn’t be the case; Aria is an adult capable of making her own decisions and she voluntarily acts like an angry/depressed teenager most of the time. Notice who, for all the vitriol there is over her, Adagio doesn’t have to do this with?
There’s a difference between making excuses like you’re suggesting and what actually happened. This isn’t bad parenting; this is Adagio saying “I’m not going to be your mother if you’re not going to appreciate it.” Aria is even acting jealous of Honey just like a child would. But she’s not a child and she’s not Adagio’s daughter. She’s a grown adult that got slapped for acting like an ungrateful bitch to the one person who cared enough to tell her to stop being self-destructive. People have limits and Adagio has reached hers with Aria.
So in conclusion Aria was right and Adagio couldn’t handle it - which was what I was talking about originally. As for the situation as a whole, Aria is there dealing with her problems in her own (wrong and self destructive) way alone since Adagio is barely around as she pointed out, and then Adagio comes in on her moral high horse to lecture Aria. So Aria fired back and Adagio couldn’t handle the banter - come in, nag, respond with violence to any back talk and then leave saying you’re in the right - this is how bad parents act, or “I hit my wife only because she talked back to me officers” spouses.
she’s right; but she had no right to say that. Adagio cares about honey like a daughter and that’s her business. At least she’s not being self destructive. She’s sad about not being able to have babies anymore; it meant a lot to her and it was taken away but with Honey? She has a chance to at least fell like a mother. What Aria is doing is just pure self destruction and isn’t healthy for her

True; honey will never be adagio’s daughter but I Adagio is fine with that. She cares about Honey like a daughter and thats enough for her. Aria is pissed and angry cause She and Sunset Shimmer broke up(and then Sunset went and had a kid with someone else) and now instead of handling it like an adult? She’s drinking, smoking and having lots of sex to cover up how hurt she is and Adagio is trying to help her but Aria is having none of it…so no…Aria is completely in the wrong here
