A lot of Mary Sues and Gary Stus are made by children who don’t know any better or beginners. I’ve honestly seen more than enough backlash against Sues/Stus stifle some people’s creativity and make people scared to make OCs to begin with or worry about making a Sue even though their OC has little to no traits with one. Not to mention some of said backlash can be downright bullying other people.

Honestly i think its fine for ocs to be mary sues and gary stus. Who cares if they’re fictional and dont impact the show at all.

People reee about them in and out of show. Up to and including reeeing about characters that aren’t actually Mary Sues because they don’t actually know what a Mary Sue is.
