Splitting hairs to me, but Starlight is set in her ways and has many enablers.
Maybe because it’s been over 2 years in real time since the incident- plenty of time for her to mature past it, and hypnosis ≠ mind control.

By now you should realize how dumb Twilight is. Imagine that: a guidance counselor who casually uses hypnosis and a principal who agrees to it with no issue.
That’s the reason why I love those two. They goddamn stupid.
As revenge for all the cakes Starlight had her burn, and whatever Starlight did in season 5 that peeved her.
It’s like allowing a sex offender to teach sex ed.
Hypnosis can’t make you do anything you don’t want to do.
So no, that would just get her sent to the “bad pony” box for time out.
