Original description - ppgzmlpfimlover requested that I draw Twilight and Rarity. I didn’t want to just do Rarity and Twilight simply posing so, I had to add some action in the picture. Here we have Rarity doing Twilight’s hair to look like her own. Twilight looks a bit irritated.
—
Twilight trotted into the Carousel Boutique to find Rarity standing near a cracked mirror. The Alicorn approached her, a look of concern on her face. She stood near Rarity, who was looking down as small tears rolled down her eyes. Twilight stood for a while, not knowing what to say. She opened her mouth and placed her hoof on Rarity’s shoulders.
“Rarity?” The Princess waited for a response—nothing. “Is something wrong? What’s with the—”
“Twilight…” Rarity muttered under her breath. “This is…THE…WORST…POSSIBLE…THING!” She shouted and fainted dramatically in Twilight’s forelegs. Twilight slightly rolled her eyes, she knew Rarity didn’t mean that. The Unicorn always said that in not-so-dire situations (there were rarely times when she would say the line in serious situations). “My mirror broke! Some repulsive and disrespectful colts smashed a rock through my window and it landed on my mirror!” She gestured towards the broken window.
“I’m…sorry to hear that, Rarity. Is there a reason you called me over here, then? You know, besides coming to comfort you in this…loss?” Rarity gave a slight smile to the Princess of Friendship.
“Well, darling, I wanted you to try some things for me.” Rarity pulled her over to the small stage of the Carousel Boutique. She levitated a mascara brush as well as a regular brush. She began to multi-task, applying make-up to Twilight’s eyes and combing Twilight’s mane to look like her own.
“Umm, Rarity, what are you—”
“Don’t fret, Twilight, darling.” Rarity smiled. “I just need a new mirror.” Twilight raised an eyebrow.
“Rarity, I don’t understand why you have to do my hair and make-up….unless…you’re using me as a 3-D mirror, are you?” Twilight gave her an unamused look. Rarity giggled.
“That is on point, my dear.” Rarity was now finished brushing Twilight’s mane and moved onto her tail. “Using you as a 3-D mirror will be much easier! I’ll get to see what I look like from each angle! We’re practically twins! Well…besides you being purple, your mane and tail being different colors, your eyes being a different color and the fact that you’re an Alicorn.
“Why can’t you just fix your mirror using magic?” Twilight whined.
“Darling, I’m getting two things out of doing this to you. One, I get to see what I look like from different angles. Two, I get to Rarify you! You’ve got to admit, Twilight, this is all simply divine!”
