Artist here - Yes, I DID trace over it. I did not expect the commissioner to post it publicly. They wanted it like that so I can’t say I couldn’t reference from it.

My bad for not including the original picture I retraced over.
I talked about it with them and they’re sorry they posted the wrong version I gave.

Comparing the two, the pose is identical. The outline is a perfect match when you exclude the mane/tail and horn. Definitely a trace. I wonder how many other pieces from this artist are also traced?

Most of my stuff is made by me, not retraced.
I don’t post retraced stuff without crediting the original.
