That’s why I replied. Because this episode basically confirmed it. Gameloft gets story details of upcoming content before we do, so they can incorporate it into the game.
I didn’t catch the line of dialogue but yes, I heard someone comment that apparently Occelus’ parents were referenced. So I guess Gameloft was right unfortunately (but I did mention the possibility of some future episode confirming it in that post you replied to).

It does. I was just reminded of it because someone brought it up on another picture of this Changeling.
And that ties into what I pointed out earlier.

I always had the headcanon that any female Changeling can reproduce but it’s harder for non-Queens to reproduce so the Queen is the mother of most (but not all) the Changelings in the brood. I had this headcanon even before we got the Changedlings, mostly so I could potentially have Changeling OCs that could be mothers but not be the queen.

And let’s not forget, Chrysalis is no longer Queen, she’s fled her throne and country. If it is the case she’s the single brood mother, then who’s laying the eggs now?
It’s possible writers may have decided to just leave the matter of changeling biology vague rather than address it directly.
Basically this. It was a popular headcanon (one that I really liked) but it wasn’t explicitly confirmed.

And even if Chrysalis did lay the eggs that doesn’t mean the changeling in this image isn’t Ocellus’s mom. Changeling society completely changed when Thorax took over so it’s possible that the changelings formed individual families with at some point. We just don’t know enough to say for sure.
Yeah, IIRC, I believe Jim Miller (or was it Josh Haber?) only stated that Chrysalis was “probably” Ocellus’s mother when put on the spot on Twitter, saying he wasn’t exactly sure how family would work in a society of part insect creatures, basically.
Well, actually, now that I think about it, I believe his words were more along the lines of perhaps they’re all related, due to insect biology and all.

Chrysalis watching the new members of her army hatch doesn’t actually imply anything by itself.
And they didn’t use ‘ incorrectly. When showing possession for a name that ends in s either ‘ or ‘s can be used. It’s kind of like how fish and fishes are both plural forms of the word fish.

Gameloft doesn’t even understand how ’ works. When a character name ends in a “s”, there isn’t supposed to be another “s” after the ’
It should be “Occelus’ Mom”
