Throughout his childhood, and even into adulthood, Janus experienced vivid hallucinations when night fell. As the future guardian of the night, he would practice patrols around the castle to check on his sleeping citizens. During these patrols, he would always see something he could never explain to anyone. It was just a flash, a blink of an eye, and it was gone. It was so frequent that he knew there was something to it beyond fatigue, and it terrified him to his core. His father, Nightingale, said he would see things too on the night watch. It was nothing to worry about, right? But there was something to these visions that Janus couldn’t quite put his hoof on…maybe the answers were in a book somewhere?
 
Little did he know that Uncle Blueblood had been seeing the same thing. Blueblood, who had fallen ill and disappeared from Janus’ life before Blueblood could tell him.
 
 
It’s been SO LONG since I’ve talked about Janus! I’ve neglected my bat baby! I hope to add more on him soon because he’s kinda important hehe. I’d also like to get more adept at making gifs because the way I make them is so weird and backwards. Let me know if you have any ideas for a gif I could practice with!
