Coffee Cake is the firstborn daughter of the queen of laughter herself, Pinkie Pie, and popular Ponyville pastry chef, Donut Joe. Once a bubbly, rambunctious little filly who wanted nothing more in the world than to please her father with her mudcakes and baby powdered cookies has grown into the luxury loving flirtatious vixen of a pony that she is today.
 
Cake has her father wrapped firmly around her lacquered hoof and isn’t afraid to abuse the power that comes with a dad’s love and adoration. At the ripe age of 16, Coffee Cake convinced Donut Joe to pass on the family bakery to her, renaming it “Cake’s Cafe”; reimagining the quaint little nook in the wall into a chic, happening coffee bar that the local teen fillies and colt’s flocked to. Now at the age of 25 Cake has turned the bakery into not only a cafe, but also a nightclub bursting with life in the late hours of night. She mixes and serves some of the most unique beverages in Ponyville, the alcohol she skillfully weaves with other flavors and ingredients to make the best of any party. While she likes to keep her cafe “chic and proper” in the daytime, it becomes a college-esque party location for the books at night.
 
She can’t run her cafe/bar alone and is aided by her two friends Luvabull Gurdy, a sweet minotaur that Cake has taken under her wing as a barista student, and Rainbow Dash’s daughter, Zipper Breeze.
 
With taking over her family bakery and turning it into a 5 star must see location has come a small bit of small town fame. This type of attention quickly gets to Cake’s head and she will push her limit as far as possible with it. Coffee Cake is a type of pony that adores the spotlight and will do almost anything to keep it on her. Her personality can be very frightening to a weaker spirited pony, as she has a high school cheerleader type of status among her friends and townsfolk; she love being the most popular girl around and isn’t afraid to put somepony down to stay on top.
 
Though Cake can be fairly greedy and nasty, she does have a caring side. IF you can pull it out of her that is. She cares deeply for her close friends like Zipper Breeze and Gurdy, and asserts herself in the role as their big sisters. She often takes Zipper shopping for clothes and accessories or takes her to get her mane done, as these feminine activities aren’t something Rainbow Dash enjoys doing. Cake and Zipper spend most days together, Cake listening to Zipper Breeze drawl on and on about her wild comic book ideas and observing her art/comic pages, honestly trying very hard to take interest in the younger pony’s infatuations and hobbies.
 
All that put aside, Coffee Cake takes pride in her work and her ability to climb the social ladder. If you needed to know anything about this pony, it would be to watch your back at all times and to be careful what you say to her, because she takes in information like a small, calculated computer, storing anything away that she believes she could use to her advantage.
