I think some people misunderstand what I was talking about. I can’t speak for Equestrian society (though you could argue there’s more evidence that it’s matriarchal), and I can’t really speak for Equestria GIRLS’s society either. I don’t think we’ve seen evidence that this is generally how all men are treated there. But what I was talking about earlier was I can totally see THIS CHARACTER, Sunset, being like this.
 
Because Sunset would totally make a house husband out of her man. And that doesn’t have to be a sign of weakness either, I think that’s kind of a mean taboo that society needs to move past. Our society I mean. Stay-at-home dads are just as valuable and valid as stay-at-home moms, and everyone’s different. We shouldn’t force gender roles on anyone really.
 
It’s just that Sunset’s preference here seems really fitting. I really do see her as the one with the pants on in any relationship.

Honestly I disagree. I can totally see this.

Listen, I’m all for true female empowerment and all, and even enjoy reading RGRE stories. But I really don’t think that it’d actually be like that in EQG.
