Ocellus: It’s like saying Griffons are very sensitive because they don’t let others form emotional attachments easily, and they don’t want to be hurt. That’s why you’re very hostile initially.

As am I, however there are times when we need to try out different methods of humor. While humor indeed “comes from a form of suffering” it does not necessarily have to directly poke fun of a certain minority.
For example, it would be much more creative to find a way to make light fun out of how Gallus essentially just insulted himself without realizing rather than compare his race and kingdom to that of an existing one in real life.
Oh come on it was a joke, I’m American for gods sake, doesn’t that make it okay since it’s self deprecating
