i’m pretty much the exact opposite i hate secularism and i want religions to be completely bound to society, and not just christianity but also judaism,islam,buddism,hinduism(i love india),zoroastrianism( i wish the more stronger like in the old days),pagans and other christian branches(except maybe the evangelicals) like the cathars if they still exist

My situation is a bit funny because my uncle, among my best friend in the world, (although I’m not sure if family counts), is a priest, but he sort of quit following church-politics becoming too much for him, now he’s working on becoming a psychiatrist… Meanwhile, I’m a proper antitheist and humanist, (basically, I understand the need for a deity to put faith in, however, I don’t believe in any religion and view them as dangerous to society (as the crusades, inquisition, and Muslim terrorists have shown), so I instead put faith in humanity, civilisation, scientific progress, and society.)

I actually really want to write a serious fanfic about Sunset Shimmer becoming a Christian, the internal conflict it puts her through, and ultimately her finding peace.

For non-Christians, it’s probably just the humor of irony. The traditional teachings of Christianity don’t exactly harmonize with the more secular, more modern teachings of My Little Pony, so it’s funny to imagine a character being a Christian, and Sunset Shimmer is the most sensible candidate since she came to our world. For Christians like me, it’s probably the joy of believing that anyone can be saved.
