Imagine the mane cast of G5 is Student Six instead of Mane 5 we have right now…

Don’t have hope for G5, it won’t have the impact that G4 had.

I’m not very excited about G5, whether it’s due to my waning interest in pony in general or attachment to G4 in particular. But I’m trying to adopt a more “whatever will be, will be” attitude, rather than a “the end is neigh” attitude.
 
I’m a little doubtful I’ll enjoy G5 as much as G4, but I’ve been wrong before.

Probably Nintendo. No matter what terrible decision Nintendo makes they sing words of praise for them.
 
No charger with some of their 3DS systems? “Nintendo is so great for saving us money and charging less for the systems!” (no, they charge just as much).
 
Just one of the many examples. Personally, I’m glad less fandoms are that “grateful”.

what would you consider a grateful fandom? trekkies? I can’t think of any others that aren’t just as bad as mlp, or worse.

Remember that at some point they will run out of ideas and the show will become garbage.

I rather have them never let us through. Spongebob I remember since 2006ish in highschool, look at it now. The Simpsons I remember since 1989 I believe and look at it now. Yeah it has its good and bad, just like MLP but it seriously is too big to die. So, if Hasbro is done hemorrhaging money for investments they can’t afford, perhaps they can stop taking from the entertainment sector and keep the things that are making them money. (Debbie, Et. Al. If someone is watching in like 2015 or 2016 and they have been watching since 2010, at that point they would already be older then what the target audience is considered. So that has nothing to do with why G5 is coming since the target audience would have already outgrown FiM several times over by the time it ends.

Hasbro still releases toys and merch for previous Transformers series despite new ones coming out. Also when G4 came out Hasbro still released G3 specials and toys. And considering how big Friendship is Magic was, I really doubt that they’re going to just leave it alone once G5 rolls around.
 
(Plus the comics and Equestria Girls were rumored to still continue when G5 comes out so we would still have those at least.)

That too unfortunately. The show is nearly 10 years old and the target audience has outgrown it. Plus given the toys, I’m sure they want to make newer toys that are a bit different from the G4 ones.

And that’s what I’m excited about too. They want the show to appeal to both a young and older audience and the shows they took inspiration from were Gravity Falls and the Ducktales reboot. I like those shows and I also read some of the leaks regarding on how they want the show to go. If things pan out well, it could turn out good so I’m cautiously optimistic about G5.
