Oh thank celestia I hope because I love spike. I know it I say this a lot but because I really mean it Spike is why started to love the show more and everyone else may disagree with me but I don’t care but I love spike all episodes and yes including Spike at your service.

Oh spike better be in G5 because spike is my favorite character in the entire show and if he’s not in it then I just won’t watch it. In fact I love spike like as if he was my son I would never do anything to hurt his feelings, just because he’s a fictional character does not mean I shouldn’t give a shit because to me he’s the most relatable character I’m kind of like a sidekick myself because I’m normally just left out from what everyone else does and I know I’m not alone on this and besides I don’t think they would ever do this because Spike is still a mane character and if you’re gonna love the mane characters then you should love all the mane characters they shouldn’t be called the mane 6 they should be called the mane 7 because spike still counts. Please do not let Hasbro do this because it’s just such a mean thing to do to poor little Spikey wikey and yes I did call him that.

Yeah I never implicated that Spike was the only character that has been treated negatively whether he’s under/poorly written, written inconsistently, regressed, underutilized or made to be unimportant. Other characters like Fluttershy seems to suffer this problem as well but at least she’s shown to slowly learn from her mistakes and remember the development she had gone throughfrom past episodes at least over time and Luna who is hyped and loved by many but is just as under utilized and forgotten despite the potential she has.
 
Granted, he had good episodes such as Inspiration Manifestation, Equestria Games (despite how bad Season 4 was treating him), Gauntlet of Fire and Molt Down (If you count that as a good episode) but for the most part he’s either the problem in his own episodes and made to be comic relief when he’s the side character (as if we don’t get that enough from Pinkie already) and while many fans believe he has a lot of potential writers continue to act like he doesn’t or doesn’t have any other motives than being Twilight’s assistant and believes that’s all he lives for.
 
Which is why I think him not being in G5 would be more merciful for him due to how he’s treated over the years in G4 and I can’t imagined how G5 will be if it even becomes a thing but if it does then him not being in it would be for the best, knowing he deserves so much better.

I don’t “see” it because I’m not laser focused on everything negative that happens to Spike, act like he’s the only one to catch “negativity” and parse over most/everything positive to Spike or try and hand wave it away as minimal.
 
God forbid we even touch Season 6 which was amazing for him.

Princess Spike is not a good episode but not a bad episode either, the episode was really Spike trying to help throughout the entire episode such trying to help Twilight sleep since she spent three days preparing for a summit and Spike was giving the task by none other Cadence herself. Granted, some moments of the episode was Spike being short-sided but shows that he meant well but nothing else happened until ponies across the glob wanted their issues solved but not willing to bat Spike an eye because he’s royalty (despite saving the Crystal Empire twice and being apart of Twilight’s life since the beginning) and Twilight was too tired to do anything, and nothing could get done unless the Princess’s say so this was pretty beyond Spike’s control and since there was no other Princess to bail him out and relieve him of their burden, Spike was pretty much forced to deal with their responsibilities.
 
And the most of Spikeabuse didn’t become a thing until Season 4 and before we got Inspiration Manifestation and Equestria Games which are good Spike centered episodes, was just Spike being underutilized, forgotten, dropped, and straight up subjected to “slaptick” as a form of some lame comic relief and like I said Spike has become more likable over the years.
 
You may not see it that why but it’s true even the writers admitted how they love to abuse Spike and later claimed that they don’t know what to do with him, despite all the potential he could’ve have. This isn’t not BS idea this is true stuff.

Spikeabuse is nothing but a BS idea that involves taking anything minor things that happen to Spike and overblowing them while doing one’s best to ignore anything positive that happens to Spike.

But in serious, to some the Spikeabuse is often supposed to be seen as some form of slapstick comedy but not the good kind of slapstick comedy and Spike has become more likable over the years and is seen by many as a character with a lot of uptapped potential.

Well, Spike, if you’re not in G5 you can’t get abused for cheap laughs.

I’m still skeptical that Season 9 will be the final season and G5 will even be a thing.
 
But considering how G4 has been treating Spike over the years, I believe him not being in G5 would be considered an act of mercy.

Has anything about g5 actually been confirmed yet? come to think of it has G5 been confirmed yet?
