Even if you can technically use the word in that context, it doesn’t change the fact that you’re technically overusing it in support of a technically hypocritical argument.
 
There is also a difference in tone that the dictionary wouldn’t really be able to encapsulate with written definitions. For instance, is creationism technically right? Or is it strictly right? One clearly carries more gravitas.
