Mercy is a deer with split personalities. Normally, she is quiet, kind and a healer. But when someone attacks her, the other side of her, named Casualty, takes over and is a violent, angry doe.

I haven’t played Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion, but while unintentional you’re not COMPLETELY off the mark with the Elfen Lied remark. Mercy isn’t as ‘helpless’ as Nyu mentally. She’s not the smartest, but as a sort of doctor, she actually understands her condition and tries to avoid letting Casualty take control when she can because unless Casualty knows the one attacking Mercy, she’s highly likely to kill that enemy.
