I like Sunset more than Starlight if only because she shows up less so I don’t get oversaturated on her like I did Starlighht. But, they are pretty different. If anything, Starlight’s just a ||pale Twilight imitation. ||

All I know is that Season 5 Starlight was the antithesis of Pinkie Pie, not Sunset or Twilight. “in Our Town” was literally the “Smile Song” if Pinkie was a Communist.

I believe we can’t accurately judge how Starlight’s character should have played out in the past three seasons if Pinkie isn’t involved in that analysis. Starlight kind of stopped having “friendship” problems when the show emphasized her magic abilities or “leadership quality” too often. Honestly, the show over-emphasized Starlight over Pinkie, which is the bigger issue here. Pinkie was always the friendship expert…so why has she been regulated to Maud and Yaks? Seriously, Starlight seems to have more friends than Pinkie now…for a character that would literally go to the North Pole to get a present without a jacket it seems a bit weird.

Even Discord is having more friendship moments with others than Ponk.

Good lord, this thread.

I get that a joking tone can sometimes be difficult to pick up through text, but come on people.
