what kills me is they weren’t intentionally seeking out and desecrating the burial site of some childhood friend of hamlet. they were digging ophelia’s grave, and the joke is that so many people die in that play, you can’t dig a new grave without hitting an old one. it’s supposed to be a joke. hamlet never knew anyone named yorick. he was just bullshitting with horatio for fun, with the random skull they dug up.
