I honestly thought the comment would go completely unnoticed by everyone as it doesn’t exactly have the nicest or most eloquent phrasing and it’s honestly just my humour preferences, if he and others can laugh at that more power to them.
Starlight’s expression was hands down the easiest part. I love the whole process of making ridiculous facial expressions, they’re great practice and they’re fun. :)

Tell him that. He’s quite good about constructive criticism. Just be warned that while he will likely listen to what you have to say, he’s under no obligation whatsoever to do anything except what he wants to do.
On an unrelated note I read the fic related to it too. Justice has really gotta stop with the blood/gore related jokes it’s starting to feel like an anime cliche.

Opinions are like assholes mate, everyone has one, and everyone is entitled to theirs, but that doesn’t mean I want you shoving yours at me repeatedly because I had the audacity to draw something that doesn’t jive.
Besides, if you had bothered to read the first few lines of the fic, you’d know Starlight was more ticked off that every mare in her life is more easily able to connect with her childhood friend than she is, and she jealous about that. Not the romance aspect, so you’ve been wrong about it from go.

And I wouldn’t say that are just my “observations”, because as I detailed with the dialogue from the episode itself , the romantic jealousy interpretation is completely untrue, with Starlight and others exolaining her behaviour - she just feared her friendship with Sunburst detoriated, and overreacted, which as Twilight noted, is something common for Starlight.
Or do you claim the characters, especially Starlight, lied about her motives, and it somehow was never clarified in the episode? XD
My comment to Background Pony #24DF, was as he/she visibly misinterpreted or misunderstood my comment.

All I’m seeing is you whining at length that someone had the nerve made something that doesn’t jive with your personal observations and opinions. You’ve said your piece, please move along.

Eh, it’s visible you don’t get all my point. My point is that this fic even isn’t a viable parody of what happened in canon, as it’s just based on a stupid, not really based at all in canon misinterpretation of The Uncommon Bond. So to me, the fic basically fails at parodying the actual series, or at least parodying The Uncommon Bond. (Then again if it’s in any ways connected to MAD parodies, it could kinda fit, seeing they often failed at doing any research on what they parodied.)
If that’s to much for you to comprehend, then maybe you need someone to ‘resque’ you here…
Forgive me for saying this, but if you knew going in that it was going to be part of the MAD extended universe, and you don’t like the characterization… are you being asked to read the fics at gunpoint? Should I call emergency services for you? Because anything Justice writes is going to involve the same in universe consistency. It’s not going to change to better fit canon. Justice is actually recrafting canon episodes to fit his own universe.

Well yes, but the characterization of Starlight in this fic, is based on a quite stupid, and complete misinterpretation of both Starlight, and the episodes plot. And im essence, the fic is not even based on the episode, but a total, if fairly popular fandumb misinterpretation of it.
Starlight doesn’t really even care more about her bond with Sunburst, than with for example Twilight, Maud and Trixie, she just feels very sad that her bond with Sunburst seemingly deteriorated - it’s just, as usually, Starlight overreacted. Which is noted in the episode.
(Not saying Starlight cares less about Sunburst, only that there is no evidrnce she cares more about him, than about her closest female friends, especially Trixie and Twilight, ie cares about them comparably.)
Starlight, and others even directly spell it out in the episode:
The episodes story and it’s reasons are pretty much spelled out here, with Starlight having here a emotional conversation about this with Twilight 0 which is funny, as in the fan misinterprtation of the episode, Starlight is fanatically jealous of Sunburt, and probably wouldn’t discuss this with one of her supposed “romantic rivals”.
Other times it’s directly spelled out in the episode:
So yeah, there is really no grounds to think based on this episode, that Starlight is romantically jealous of Sunburt spending time with other mares. Or that Starlight cares visibly more about Sunburst, than about the rest of her friends, as the episide itself debunks it, if one payed attention to, ad was not blinded by shipping googles XD
Because of this, this fic, and by extension picture, don’t make much sense to me.
The intent of the story in question is not to comment on the episode, but rather how the characterization of Starlight that Justice has made would deal with the events of said episode.

It is good that you think that way. In some parts of the internet, when you criticize something, it is claimed they are being harassed.
Well, I think everyone has right to comment abd even critize something.
And I also don’t really agree Uncommon Bond is the only episode Starlight gas a personality - she has it in a lot of episodes she appears in.
Well, I wouldn’t say my comment is irrevelant to Justice pic, or the cover yoy made (only now I realized you are the artist) - as both are based on the fandoms’fandoms’ misinterpretation of story and characterisation of “The Uncommon Bond” episode. Justice’s fic also goes with how Starlight is characterized in this misinterpretation, and exagerates it - but it still based on an absurd and nonsensical interpretation of Starlight.
