A pony body seems to be much better shaped to ride an ideal aerodynamical motorcycle than a human one.  
-> Since the lower part of the abdomen is resting, all 4 hooves could be used to control it [specially given that it is a “floating bike”], allowing for independent YAW & ROLL control (besides acceleration/breaking), without needing to use the mass and strenght of your body to “tilt” the center of mass of the vehicle.

It is a two-way street (you can see the division at the right bottom of the pic).  
The “ramp” has those arrows to make it clear (for Rarity) that vehicles may be coming down from her “right” side (upper above), going down the ramp on the “exterior” part of the curve.  
-> There is another set of arrows on the right side of the ramp [not visible yet from this angle], telling incoming riders that others (like Rarity) may be getting “on & up” into the ramp from their “left side down”.
