The dub was an absolute mess. It cut out lots of content in favor of live-action clips of idol girls, aired it at weird times where it had lots of competition, and had little to no marketing. The dub only got through season 2.
That said though, Equestria Girls on Netflix there performed exceptionally well.
True.
Takara Tomy should let the franchise handle it, but it unfortunately end up the same as Transformers Prime and Adventure (RID 2015).
And Sega Sammy does nothing with the franchise aside of G1 toys, merch and cafes in Japan.

Yep, except they’re gonna release it on home video and not in theaters due to MLP ending its japanese run at Season 2.
