This happens nearly a few years after this
 
 
This is pic is after the moment Sombra proposed to Luna.  
This is also after Sombra’s redemption trial, his current residents is at Umbra Mountains in Shadow Kingdom(Side note my Umbra’s are different, will post about them when I have time). He lives with the current generation of royals there and his sister, which is still alive for some reason(Will explain this in that Umbra post when I can).
 
Luna visits him as often as she can and both tried their hardest to mend back their relationship.  
They picked up back where they lost and continued from there.  
Sombra’s very confident with how strong their love is and he decided that it’s been too long that Luna waited for him, why the heck not just propose already.
 
He did and Luna was flabbergasted beyond words, she knew he was going to propose at some point but she didn’t see it coming at that moment. She stuttered, let out a lot of tears and mustered out a heartfelt yes. They hugged, smooched UwU and whispered sweet lil things to each other. Especially Sombra since he’s a sneaky bad boy and likes to fluster his lady.
 
Headcanon stuff for Sombra:
 
Unlike the ‘Evil King Sombra’, Sombra’s actual personality is more calmly collected, patient and quiet. He only uses his royal voice when absolutely needed and isn’t as power hungry as his alter ego. When Evil King Sombra came into the scene his emotions got blurred and became chaotic. Evil King Sombra is basicly his Nightmare Moon, like I mention his alter ego.
 
Being stuck as his alter ego for over 1000 years changed him a lot. Ya’ll gotta remember he’s constantly stuck in limbo in that form, without a solid body or host his soul gets confused and extremely frustrated. I think I mentioned it a bit in here
 
 
When Sombra was starting to recover from him ‘blow up’ he obviously had a different personality. He snapped easier at everyone when he gets frustrated, he can’t stop thinking about morbid things he might do, and sometimes the mood that he brings to his atmosphere feels like death. Basically he’s the reincarnation of the grim reaper. The things he saw in limbo scarred him permanently, he wishes that he could un-see those things and move on. Sometimes when he closes his eyes, those things still pop up in his mind.
 
Then came Luna, her presences somehow soothed his emotions. He started to try and control his emotions more for her sake. Sometimes he’d snap at little things, but would quickly apologies back later. Luna’s very patient with him through out his whole redemption/reformation phase. Luna understands Sombra’s ache of Limbo to a certain extent. She herself has venture into that realm many a times back in her days as ‘Enchantress’ (That’s Luna’s Witch name btw, will tell you that story for another day).
 
She did try to reach Sombra many times through Limbo, but he was so deep in it that it would’ve been suicide to even try to get close to the part of Limbo he was in. So she gave up, and waited and waited. Until she turned into Nightmare Moon.
 
So now, Luna and Sombra are back together stronger then ever andddd are going to get married in a couple of months~
