Background/Cutie mark story: Inspiration for her name came from the willow tree that was growing on Fluttershy’s yard, and on the day Willow Wish was born, they shone beautifully, glistening in the morning sunlight. “That willow just makes this the perfect moment” BigMac said, and thus they both had the same thought, to make the little one’s name Willow. Fluttershy and BigMac had hoped for a little filly so it was a shared decision to have Wish in her name as well, to symbolise their “wish” coming true.

She was quiet as a filly, an influence from her parents you could say. She loved hanging out at the apple farm and helping out her father with the chores and playing with Winona. She took a lot of walks around Ponyville with Winona and thanks to that she became more social and became more comfortable being around other ponies. One day when she was visiting the library to borrow a book about dogs she saw a remedy book on the ground, showing a beautiful turquoise flower that she had seen before at the edges of the Everfree Forest. She read about the flower and found out that its nice, soothing scent has been found to heal some ponies’ headaches and ease other pains as well. She was intrigued but didn’t look into it any more than that.

One day her father BigMac was suffering from a terrible headache and none of Fluttershy’s homemade remedies had any effect. Willow said to her mother “I wish there was something that could ease his pain…” And then she remembered, there was! That turquoise flower she had seen in the book and in the forest. She instantly left to get the book from the library and acquired the flower from the edge of the Everfree Forest. The book had instructions on how to use the flower to make incense that could potentially cure BigMac’s pain. So she followed the instructions and made some incense with her mother. The sweet yet odd scent from the burning incense instantly made something change. BigMac was feeling better! Fluttershy and Willow were also feeling extremely relaxed and soothed, and happy. “My wish, it came true!” Willow said and hugged her father. And at that moment something appeared on her flank, the same turquoise flower that had cured her father and essentially granted her wish. She was happier than ever!

From then on she became even more interested in finding out other plants, herbs and flowers that she could use to make different kinds of incenses to cure various ailments. She loved to experiment and a lot of ponies came to her with their pains and problems, and she would find ways to help them. Eventually the Ponyville spa became interested in her abilities and hired her as an employee, specialising in aromatherapy and incense treatments.

Other notes: She does not have “wish granting powers”, her wishes are just goals she wants to work towards for example. She does research at the library on a regular basis and sometimes consults Zecora when she is in town.
