it’s been a long time coming, but I finally have a proper full-time job! maybe not the most glamorous of ones, sure, but it’s proving to be a surprisingly interesting experience thus far.plus discounts on donuts and sandwiches stuff is always a good deal.
well uh, no, but… you seriously shouldn’t sit here lecturing people on the evils of slavery, in a comment thread about a happy pony mlemming at the donut shop.
And that would be different from all the money Pinkie probably costs them… how?
Hehe……quitting.
I believe the issue wasn’t Starlight’s expediency or skills. Rather it was the exceedingly large amount of expensive ingredients that Starlight used entirely without permission. Starlight made a flawless cake that I’m certain tasted divine. And the Cakes would have surely lost money attempting to sell it.
@dsagent
Do either of you know what actual slavery is? Working at a donut shop part time is not slavery. Not even close. Nobody’s forcing you, you can refuse at any time if you don’t like it and the working environment is regulated to be safe and sanitary.
A slave does what they are told, lest they be beaten. A slave doesn’t have a choice. A slave can’t search for an opportunity they like better. A slave can’t go home. A slave must work in whatever conditions they’re given.
Working at a donut shop for 20 hours a week might not pay your bills. But it’s far from slavery. Because unlike a slave, you are working at will. You can quit. Slaves are literally worked to death. Quitting is not an option.
I did not like that moment with Ms. Cake. Starlight could have been a big help in her bakery, but no, she went right to assuming Starlight would put her out of business.
