PonyPon has a point. That was a little one-sided crush that was completely turned over on its head and destroyed. The two of them did not have a fully fledged romance and the episode was more or less mocking the “love at first sight” and “prince charming” tropes.

That’s what I think too. No romance for the Mane 6 in FiM. (That being said, I don’t mind minor characters and background characters having canon romances at all.)

I just wish they keep the no romance rule of faust for any of the mane 6, at least for FIM. I think is for the best

tbh I haven’t closely watched current memes and fan interest/creativity seems dead at any rate, but I know I have a checklist of things that’d make me go crazy if they happened and I’m sure others do too, and this is kind of the last chance to make them happen.

They are no villains but Dusty and her Washouts are certainly interesting enough.  
Maybe also Iron Will and Suri.

slice of life wasn’t great because it was fan service. it was great because it had perfect timing. always escalating at just the right moment, and just when you think it’s impossible for it to get any more incredible, gummy starts monologuing. it was great because it featured the lives of background ponies, and yes they did fit with many popular fan stereotypes, but the important thing is that it was characters who aren’t movers and shakers, yet have full lives and real adventures. without that, a show feels like everyone except the main cast is a bunch of shallow puppets wandering around in the background. a whole episode devoted to showing the rich lives the unchosen ones can lead? that fleshed out the world for me far more than any number of stupid royal weddings.
 
so what I wanna see is an episode where other ponies go on adventures that don’t decide the fate of the world, but they still come out of it better than they were before, having learned some valuable lessons and helped each other out.
 

 
I don’t think big mac and sugar belle should get married, because their shipping was kinda forced. better to leave it at a slowly budding, subtle relationship. they gain nothing from marrying the characters that they decided out of the blue were to be together, and it just wouldn’t be nice to keep rubbing that in our faces.

If it’s gonna be another fan service Slice Of Life 2.0 I’ll be greatly disappointed. It was alright for its time, but not so much now. My guess is a Sunset Shimmer one off, or some kind of villain ep. But what Villian is interesting enough to have his or her own episode? Everyone is either reformed, in hiding, or dead. Or maybe another musical episode
