Remember, Hasbro needs to sell toys off this show; once the M6 ended their arcs in S5, they needed someone new to spur toy sales. That’s why the show has so many characters, none of them can really be focused on in-depth like before. “WE NEED TO MAKE MORE REASONS TO MAKE NEW TOYS TO SELL.”

I’m guessing the take away here was that the Mane Six without the “magic” they had in earlier seasons causes their individual components to split up to what consists of the School of Friendship? If so, I have to say, I agree. I’d have to go through the episodes again, but not only does it feel like we been focusing on the Mane Six less and less over the last few years, but it does seem like the quality of the episodes revolving around them has on average fallen bellow the episode featuring the newer cast.
 
Personally, I don’t feel like that’s made the show bad in any specific way, but it does feel sad and more than a little wrong for the show to think the show may have outgrown the very characters who it was about to begin with.

The only way such school would be justified anyway is if most of the population is super anti social and aggressive such Moondancer pre Twilight fixing her mess and Gilda and at that point, you’d have to force them in.

You’re really going to justify everything dumb in the premier with the fact that the Head of the School department of the government was racist and ignore the fact. School regulations are important and ditching them just because what you Teach isn’t a covered subject is a good idea? Especially when you’re wasting money by building a whole new institute just for something that give you a worthless education?
 
Even by MLP Gen 4 Standard a school of friendship is worthless unless we’re talking about applying for a care taking job which isn’t worth building a whole school that’s semi treated like a university that gives you a friendship diploma.
 
The only reason why Twilight was allowed to even make up her own regulation and everything is because the Neighsay is racist, which is the dumbest thing ever

While the young six’s reckless certainly irked him, that clearly wasn’t Neighsay’s main reason for withholding EEA approval. What really made him upset was the fact the school accepted non-pony students. At the time, he mistakenly believed that the other races were barbaric and were ultimately out for Equestria. Twilight, of course, knew better and continued with her plans for the school despite the resistance she faced.

The moral of the premiere is that you shouldn’t be afraid of standing up for yourself and for what’s right, even if it means breaking long-established rules and norms.

Nah it’s better than the early seasons and the stories are becoming more interesting each season. Far as I’m concerned, the first four simply don’t measure up to the second four.

Its not just the school that’s the problem but how it was introduced.  
“Oh no, my school is in trouble because my students are messing around and the school is gonna get revoked?”  
“Well fuck the system i’m gonna make my own because now the Head of the School system is racist”  
What kind of moral is that?
