That’s just his preference doe. And in some ways I can kinda see what he means and others not so much. To be frank the characters in mlp don’t have an actual horse face. Their noses are much shorter than what you see irl ponies. So when you have near human characters such as anthro with pony noses I don’t see it as a big deal since it’s not all that horse like. I don’t really see anthro as some weird and out there style, I think it’s just an extension of humanized with slightly more pony traits for the most part and I think it’s pretty damn near the same as the EG ponied up, at least the ones with human feet.

Nope. Muzzles are EXACTLY why I don’t like anthro. The ears, tails, and wings I’m cool with though. Hell, the ears, tails, and wings were half what I had hoped for with when I first heard about a "human version of FiM" in 2012-2013. I was even disappointed when their "tails" when they ponied up just ended up being hair extensions and the "unicorn" characters didn’t get their horns while powered up either (Rainbow Dash, Twilight, & Fluttershy get their wings, but Rarity, Twilight, & Sunset can’t have their horns?) but ultimately I have grown to love our Doug-colored hominid horse girls as they are, especially Sunset and Applejack.

Just to reiterate, I’d take them with the unguligrade legs and hooved feet over having muzzles, that’s how much I dislike anthro. Also, pretty much my primary qualifier to be anthro in my books is, "Does it have a muzzle and is the body roughly humanoid?" Nothing else matters, like the ears or tail. Hell, as long as they aren’t hairier than SSJ4 Goku, I don’t even care about fur too much. It’s just that muzzle I don’t like…
