God dammit. Pedophilia is not defined by pure age gap. Its defined by an adult having sexual thoughts and/or actions involving someone who is sexually immature. We have put the line around 16-18 years. If you think the “age gap” is weird, then sure, go for it. But you cant just slap the name pedophilia on it. And by the way, its not uncommon for fantasy or scifi characters to have big age gaps in relationships, i mean look at Dr. Who! One of the biggest sci fi’s in the world. Rose Tyler and the doctor had a romantic relationship, and the doctor is over 800 years old while Rose is 19. This concept isnt as taboo as you want to make it out to be. I think its pretty pathetic that someone would resort to labeling a ship pedophilic (when it is not)just to “disprove” its legitemacy. Fluttercord is not and probably wont become canon, but its not for the reasons YOU think. And while were talking about it, the whole “outliving” thing. Its a kids/family cartoon, it will never be brought up. It will never be taken into consideration by the writers. Its insignificant, and its been talked about before. Read some fanfics about it. Im sure you’ll have a blast

I think we should breathe and reassure ourselves: Have more than for sure that, THAT, would be something that Hasbro would never allow. They need that the MLP toys have a little innocence that attracts the “target audience” (hopeful girls and fathers with a wallet), so I do not believe at all that they allow themselves something outside the “cute and small” model to which they are irremediably tied (and that, in us the fandom and its fan arts, have how to remove the shackles, at least for a time, between episode and episode of the series)
