I also see some bashing modern cartoons/movies/games/ect. for referencing memes, and such, but people forget that entertainment media has done that before the term “meme” existed, or before even the internet did.

Same here, I mean I don’t care if the meme came from last century or whatever. As long as the meme still make me laugh I am going to look for it. And also another thing I also don’t like is the “never that funny” or something similar. I get it they never found this or that meme funny, but can they leave us alone and let us enjoy “the never funny meme?” Especially on this site with the filter system, I swear a lot of people need to use filter or learn to just ignore the thing that they don’t like

Same here actually. I find it annoying when people go, “ugh that meme, is this 2012?” They sound like “STOP HAVING FUN!” guys.
I understand some memes are overdone, but we’ve hardly seen any “Chickenloo” in years, so no point complaining.
Oddly, many confuse it with the “chikkun face” meme this site used to get spammed with, (hence the hate for Scootachicken) which isn’t the same meme. It’s just Scootaloo making a weird face from “One Bad Apple,” while “Scootachicken” is a chicken related joke.
