Well TECHNICALLY they aren’t just horses, they are ponies. Maybe pony ponies look just like them in the human world too and this guy is a horsey horse. Like Troubleshoes.

Exactly my point. Turning non-sapient mice into sapient equines would be weird. And turning them BACK would be weird and raise all sorts of ethical issues.
 
And likewise, how would gorillas living in the jungle (it’s 4AM and I don’t feel like checking their habitat on Wikipedia) and the show never being there (I think they might have been there during the Daring Do episode, but I’d have to check and it’s still 4AM like it was five seconds ago) do anything but support my point that you can’t rule them out. Plus, a gorilla could also turn up if they ever visit a zoo… Or at Fluttershy’s house (which is admittedly something of a free-range zoo itself).

No, it just means non-sapient ones have not been shown. I don’t think that they’ve shown gorillas, either, but that doesn’t imply that Equestria has never heard of gorillas, does it?

even though in the show it is how to have houses in Equestria, people try to say those from saddle-Arabia may not be but Hasbro have said nothing to disprove it to my knowledge so it negates your head cannon
