If Shining Armor was in her place he would NOT humiliate and kick such an incredibly talented flier like Dusty out but make her Dashies wingpony so that she could have a positive influence and learn from her.  
If Shining Armor was in her place he would have corrected Dustys behaviour early instead of encouraging her all the time and there wouldn´t have been a tornado incident.  
But of course incompetent Spitfire could not be bothered to do her job.  
Spitfire did pretty much everything wrong in this episode.

That’s not the reason why. To be honest Spitfire did nothing that wrong in the episode, really all she did was make Lightning Dust the group leader and when she heard what Lightning Dust did she kicked her out because she was arrogant and almost got the ponies killed (granted that wasn’t intensional), if a better pony like Shining Armor was in Spitfire’s place he would probably do the same thing to Lightning Dust.

We are serious about turning this into a full blown fic. It’s currently sitting under 400 words on my computer but within a day or 2 it we’d probably finish it. It’d be awesome if u can color this!

Have some crappy background story:
 
Be spitfire, watching everything unfold without batting an eye. She’d seen enough of this in her younger years, whatwith horny colts jerking off to her photo or bent mares tracing an unwitting hoof down their thighs when she’s not looking. But this isn’t just any cadet. She’s fast like a bullet; agile like a deer excaping from her worst enemy. Spitfire wants to stop, to push Dust over and kick her from the Bolts once and for all. But her body’s not listening, instead of a kick to the gut that’ll end the all too fateful encouter, a wry smile tugged at her lips. She let out a dry chuckle, slowly drinking in all the curves and plumpness of the aroused rookie, even as Dust bit her lip and released a barely contained whimper.
 
“Arrrrghhhhh~”
 
“Have some manners, cadet. Nice guys always finish last.”
 
Wat.
 
“Oh c’mon. Don’t tell me you weren’t expecting that. Now finish on my face.”
 
The tables have turned. Faster than she could even react, Lightning felt a strong pair of hooves threw her completely over. When she regained conscious, she suddenly realized that she’s now the one being pinned, completely at her Captain’s mercy. She opened her eye to reveal a very perky captain with a leacherous grin on her face.
 
“That’s an order.”
