Exactly, this is the time to do all the ‘controversial’ ideas they wanted to explore without worrying about backlash effecting the show’s future
That would make sense. Especially since this is the last season. No need to wait now; we can just throw it all out there and see what sticks.

It was kinda divisive season because, much like the equally divisive season 6, it was more of an experimental season. I do continue to believe that both seasons are quite underrated in many ways and I think season 9 has proven to be a little experimental itself (just not as prominently, at least not for the first half)

Well, what I mean by that is this; if you think about it, not many people enjoyed season 8.
I don’t know, I think I currently prefer season 8 to 9 so far but that could easily change.
Much better than season 8.
I know that, It’s doing alright so far.
Well, the season hasn’t gone to crap yet.
I just saw and I can’t for the US release of that episode, the rest of the season could be absolute crap but just knowing the gay aunts are canon has put in my good books!
