I actually refer to her as cream heart. My group of friends and I are pretty used to stuff like this and usually take note of name changes the moment they happen and use it from then on. Most people I have spoken to about her recognize her name as well, so I wouldnt say nobody uses it.

I still call her ‘Buttons Mom’. Pretty sure that’s what she’s always going to be known as. Nobody ever calls her either Elaina or Cream Heart that I’ve seen.

6 months later and I have never heard anyone use this name for her even once until today. It’s a huge improvement over “Elaina” which was obviously never going to be her real name. Though adding “heart” into the name is as bad as using “hooves”. It’s just so stereotypically pony. Like the “john” of real life names.  
Complaints aside, I am relieved I finally have a name to call her by.

I thought her name was Elaina O_o

Her husband’s name is Vanilla Ice. ;D

Elaina while a fine name for a human doesn’t fit pony at all. ‘Buttons mom’ is fine but ‘Cream Heart’ is fine, too and makes more sense. That and it’s their character. Just because a character gets popular doesn’t mean they belong to everyone. Jan created them, they get to name them-no matter how long it takes. You’d think people who enjoy their content would have enough appreciation to at least respect the creators wishes.

Well, the problem is that the same guy made that video, and have posted several other videos saying her name. :) This is a brand New name. He can rename hes OC all he wants, but when you google it you can find her at all. That means ppl will still Call her Elaina. (or button’s mom) He should make another oc if it bothers him. Or you can make another if you have a problem With it. And sorry for not caring about Your authority opinion, since this is my opinion. :) E.o.d.

If the person who created the OC, Jan, says that her name is “Cream Heart”, then her name is “Cream Heart”. Jan is a greater authority on the name than you are.
 
If you don’t like it, filter the tag and pretend it doesn’t exist. Otherwise quit complaining.
